R & D Biochemist


This is another technical role, generally for someone with experience on the bench or in a related Biochemist role. The Biochemist is required to refine existing processes and products in line with customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Technical support and troubleshooting
  • Manufacture coated microparticles and enzyme-antibody conjugates and the associated buffer formulations to GMP/FDA/ISO9001 requirements
  • In-process testing Performance verification
  • Validation studies
  • Equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Following and performing the creation, review and maintenance of SOPs and process specifications for cGMP lab systems in an FDA regulated environment
  • Following and maintaining GMP and GLP standards
  • Ensuring safe operations, attention to detail, and good documentation skills according to cGMP

Requirements

  • A BSc in a relvant degree, often an MSc / PhD is required
  • 3-5 years experience in the diagnostics or related industries (Pharma / Medical Devices)
  • Excellent clinical chemistry knowledge
